NOTICE! Supporters needed at Budget Committee meeting tonight!

Tonight (Thursday May 7th) there is a meeting of the Budget Committee at the Town Office at 7 pm. It's important that we have as many people there as possible to reinforce the message from Tuesday night. Due to the rain I doubt there will be any ballgames...so try to be there if you can to support the school committee recommendation.

The budget crisis and what YOU can do!

Serious budget cuts are threatening our community school. VCS already has one of the most fiscally conservative school budgets in Central Maine. Subsequent budget cuts will significantly compromise our children's education. Your child will be left behind.

Your presence at School Committee and Town Budget Committee meetings is critical! Let these elected officials know that we can't afford not to provide our community children the quality education they deserve.

Mark your calendar for Town Meeting on Monday, June 8. Be part of the democratic process, and vote to support the Vassalboro Community School and our children’s future.

Willy Wonka Jr. Production at VCS!

Today the students at VCS got to see special preview performance of Willy Wonka Jr.!  The actors and actresses did a wonderful job and the music was superb!  Bravo!  We hope you'll get a chance to see the play here at VCS beginning tonight....

Putting SCRATCH on your home computer!

Hi all! The kids have been using a program at school where they've been learning basic concepts of computer programming and sequential thinking skills. They've created some awesome programs. If you'd like to continue this learning at home...you can install SCRATCH on your own computer! The program is free and Open Source so you are welcome and encouraged to install it on whatever machine you wish. Go here to download SCRATCH
